i wrote half of today's blog a while ago, then icq2go hanged, so i have to log off and log on again.... and i lost the last blog.
As i was saying....
I worked a total of 31 hours in Lakeside this weeek, not sure what is the hourly rate, but if it is £5, that would give me a total pay of £155. Cool. =) Happy. I went to Portsmouth Harbour today. Went by train. Virgin Trains to be exact. Which is so much more quieter, smoother and more comfortable than that lousy South West trains. Really crap, that South West trains. They use really lousy trains, especially for the waterloo-portsmouth line. Trains that should have been retired a million years ago. I am serious. All the other train companies are now using those high tech air-con trains. Never mind, why am i so bothered? I dunno. And thse trains doors. That is another story all together, dun get me started on that.
Anyway, yes Portsmouth. I wanted to go to the Portmouth Naval Base, the Historic Dockyard. But it is closed!!!! Closed on a Saturday! Because of an anti-war demonstration!!!! Can you believe it.... i came all the way down only to discover that it is closed!!!! Why must there be all these war stuff???? Sigh. So i walked to Gunwharf Quay, which is designer heaven, if you are into those kind of stuff. Walked around a bit, cK Company Store, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker, Bally, Fred Perry etc etc etc, you get the idea. They're all factory outlets, so there are lots of discounts. Bought a ticket to go for the harbour cruise, saw many warships, one of which even juz returned from the Gulf. Duh. This is POrtmouth Naval Base, duh, what d'ya expect? Vey Pearl Harbour-like, if you ask me. THough i have never been to Pearl Harbour. =)
After the cruise, went to explored more of Gunwharf... Cadbury factory outlet(??... 18 Time Out bars for £1.20; boy, was i tempted...), FCUK, Nike, Gap, blah blah blah. I walked into all the shops, almost all and tried on a lot of stuff.... had my eye set on this Gap jacket. £14.99, din know whether to get it or not. so i put it back, walked around, went back, looked again. Put it back, looked around somemore.... blah blah blah.... until the 3rd time i walked into the shop and decided, yes i am going to get it.
And so i got it. But dun let me mum know. Cuz she already warned not to buy any more clothes. =) Was at the Nike FC(factory outlet) and saw the pair of trainers that i so liked and wanted to get b4 i came to UK. £27.99, but they dun have it in my size. sigh. Never mind. not that i need another pair anyway. Then i realised that there is actually a H&M in town. After my last wander into H&M store, as you guys know, i was hooked. But the H&M store is in town, not at the Quays, and by then it is already 6pm, so i had to go, no time to go to town. H&M...........!!!
Saw a hot air balloon on my way back in a old lousy SouthWest train that stopped at every station. Nice way to end a beautiful sunny day.... The balloon and the sun set and the scenery, that is, not the train. =) Juz found out that the Portmouth H&M is the biggest in the south. Wonderful.
