You know that TAR will always be my favourite reality series, but after seeing what the new season of Survivor: all stars... i have to say i am so looking forward to it!!! I mean, All stars involve the best of the best... it has to be pretty good yeah?? but who is Rob C???

Nvm... anyway, I finished reading One Hit Wonder... I know this book is released a million years ago, but i have never got round to reading it until now... and i did not regret it... you know what?? This is only the 2nd book that i've ever read in my life that made me cry. And i dun juz mean few drops of tears, i mean cry cry... i dunno why... but it did. The first book that did that, of course, is Bookends.

Today is my 2nd day at the counter... it is nerve reckling, but i guess you can say ppl get better with time and confidence... it definitely helps if you have a good shiftleader who shows you the things to do, whether they are correct etc etc.... but you have to have a GOOD shiftleader who knows what they are doing.... yeah? Today i had some trouble with money... and that was like, so confusing... it did get sorted out in the end.... but i was so nervous and stressed.....

ooh, today i checked in this malay girl from Singapore and her mother!!! It was so exciting... cuz at first i couldnt tell where she was from... but she offered the information when i asked if she was a british citizen... and i was like all hyped up and asked which part of Singapore she was from, and then had to explain that i was from singapore b4 she gets all suspicious and wonder why this receptionist is asking so many questions about them.... The girl studies in University of Newcastle... Interesting.... and I can't tell you how happy i was to check in this singaporean guest.

i also found out that the corporate sales manager in the hotel, david is from malaysia-singapore. that's what he told me.... but david looks nowhere like a malay, chinese, or indian... i am not quite sure what he is... ha, at least i am not alone... i also know that there is a selina in conferences that is from brunei....

Heh... i am doing this at work... cuz my trainer allowed me to... Today, i finished my Fidelio training course... and i feeel like i learnt so much this week... it was so good... like you know, ready to get to the front of the desk?? that's how i feel... =)

CNY eve was good... Helen, my flatmate and i went to Chinatown and we bought raw shelled prawns and squid and fishball for our rice cooker steamboat... the food was really good,we had a really good spread of food... and i felt like i was almost at home having my steamboat... the cosy and feel-good feeling, you know?? will show you pictures, but it was too much food in the end, and i felt like the food was up to my throat... and i had really bad heartburn.

And collected my CNY goodies!!! Got my egg rolls and pineapple tarts and kueh bangkit!! Yeah!!!

and what's good?? WHen you think you wouldn't have so much fun, and you actually do?? That's good... cuz you were not expecting it at all...

That's why ppl always say not to do things with too much expectations, this way you will not be disappointed...

I agree with that... but with service, for me, there will always be expectations. And pretty high too...

i am going to be a spoiltbrat here... PLs forgive me... cuz something happened this morning that made me really sad... but dun worry, i am still safe and well, so is everyone else alive. *enters spoiltbrat phase* WHY is no one updating!!!! I am so wallowing in self pity... i am spending CNY alone... I want my CNY package!!!!! Why din anyone comment???

Anyways, this morning... Victoria line had severe delays, with only half the trains running, so i had to get a bus to work. when i got out of my flat, the bus was at the traffic light, so being me, i wanted to run for the bus, and ran cross the road. While doing so, i heard something drop, i wasn't sure what it was, but i was in the middle of the road, and it would not be right, in fact dangerous, for me to stop to check, or so i thought.

When i reached the other side of the road, i turned round and looked. There was like a silver chain on the floor, wasn't sure what it was, so wanted to go pick it up. Before i could do that, this car drove by, and went over whatever that i dropped. There was a pop sound. I realised what i dropped.

It was my silver watch.

My only formal watch, the silver one that many people have ohh ah over and told me was very nice/very unique. it had a history of dropping, but everytime i would know when it dropped. so I have always managed to pick it up.

This time it was 30seconds too late.

I went across, and it is completely smashed. All i could do is pick up its remains, and continued. It is still in my pocket at time of writing.

If only i had not ran across the road, it was really stupid, cuz i could have walked to anoher busstop and still catch the same bus, since the bus makes a loop, then the watch might have still been on my wrist now.

Am not at Picadilly Circus, going to buy some seafood at Chinatown to bring home for steamboat with my flatmate. Yeah, the both of us.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone.

How is everyone??

This is the first time i've been online since the 11th... 9 days only, but seemed like a bloody long time...

Reason for my disappearance is cuz i have not set up internet in my flat yet...

You know what?? Everytime when i am at home, i always think of things that i wanna write on my blog, but everytime i get access to the internet... all the thoughts juz disappear... it's so irritating... i was expecting myself to write this long blog about whatever that i was supposed to write about... which is...

I don't know.

I can't believe i can't receive my Chinese New Year Parcel before New Year's eve this year!!!! It looks that way right now... cuz i am not around the times they try to send the parcel to me, cuz i am working!!! Don't they realise that if they deliver during normal working hours, most people cannot get their parcels unless, said person is rich enough to live in an apartment block with a porter or have an external mailbox of some sort?!?!?!?! I can't stand it, cuz this means i cannot have all my new year goodies, my abalone, my anchorvies and my nnian gao on the 1st day of CNY.

That is making me feel really sad. I may have to go to Camden to collect my parcel on Thursday night juz so i can have all my goodies on the 1st day of CNY.

I've been reading all my regular blogs... it seems everyone is having fun... and i am glad for you... especially for those who are/were back in Singapore. Family reunions, cheap food, shopping at Orchard/Jurong Point, the libraries, the NTUC, the Coffee Club, the Coffee Bean, and for this time of the year, the chinatown, the chinese new year songs, the lion dance, the louhei...

Comment to make me feel better. Yes, i am that desperate...

And in case you're wondering about work... things have been okay actually,... i am doing a Fidelio training course now, Fidelio is the front office management system used by most major hotels.... I'm saying most, cuz you can't generalise. anyways, i had cross training with all the different departments in the first week, with housekeeping (rooms inspection, putting rooms back on the Fidelio system), VIPs (what VIP means what, and the perks and the welcome gifts, including some or all of the following, plate of fruits, chocolate, still water, red wine, or white, and champagne), then concierge (during which, i managed to visit the Lanesborough with the chef concierge and Brown's which used to belong to Raffles, and have coffee anfd biscuits at one of the top Italian Restaurants in town), and then switchboARD which is selfexplanatory.

I need to go. No money...

You know something is very wrong with the world when you read headlines like this one...

Singapore programmer develops software that predicts winning 4D numbers

On friday, on my way home, i saw an SIA plane!!! I'm serious! It was pretty low, so i could see body, tail and all!! Around 3 plus in the afternoon. Dunno how come, i was pretty excited to see the SIA plane... but then i was also feeling a little sorry for myself, cuz i won't be on said plane any time soon, not in the next 3 months at least...

Starting work tomorrow... scary to say the least...

I dunno what i pressed and my blog juz disappeared!!!! Can't believe that happened!!!! am really pissed... cuz i thought that was a good post... Damn it....

Anyway, as i was saying... My favourite comic/cartoon character turns 75 tomorrow!!! Happy Birthday Tin Tin!!!!! I miss them, man... and i miss going to Kino to look at those Tin TIn figurines which i so love...

Woke up at 9 am today which is considered early for this week... but i better get used to waking up early now, since i start work next week, and then spent the rest of the morning doing absolutely nothing other than

trying out my new number for my house phone... it worked, but no one picked up for the very simple reason that the phone at the other end is not connected into the socket...

watching a past episode of ER where Carter meets the guy who stabbed him and killed Lucy Knight 3 seasons ago...

Deciding whether i should buy the GBP6 trousers from Mango...

eating 4 crumpets at various times of the morning...

I hate it when i have nothing to do...i end up spending most of the time eating i realise.... which is not good...

There's this black and white film on TV now... i have no idea what it's about... not that i really care.... THE tv's on for the sound only...

HSBC refused to let me open an account with them... cuz i did not have a proof of my previous address... cuz i have only stayed at my current address for less than 3 months...

The moment i get my bill, i will go to another HSBC and tell them that i have stayed at my new address for 3 months... maybe that will do the trick....

it's 2004. So fast!!! Where did 2003 go? All i know is the 2nd half of 2003 started with loads of play at Tangs Island Cafe, followed by one mad rush for 2nd year, little sleep, travelling between London and Guildford for interviews and a little more... loads of cursing for the MIS tutor.....

It was a hella a year... but in retrospect, i enjoyed the rushing around to a certain extent.... when it pays off i guess.... but i probably won't know about that until i get my results.

Ooh, i moved house... to Pimlico... very nice area!!! 3rd floor flat... that means 4 flights of stairs everyday up and down... it's a one bedroom flat. I've got the bedroom and Helen, my flatmate got the living room... will put up pictures soon!!!

Starting work in one week... Argh...
