I realise I actually haven't really updated my blog the past 2 weeks, so thought it might be nice to let u know what I have been up to. ;)

Friday 17th December 2004

Last day of work. Yay, said my goodbyes to everyone, then proceeded to pub crawl around Shepherd's Market (for me, without the alcohol). Then went to Soho to celebrate a friend-of-friend's birthday party. Then my gay friend proceeded to bring me to a gay pub in Leicester Square where u see gays of all shapes and sizes. Eye opener... Din even know the pub is a gay-pub, until u actually go in. We had one drink, then went for supper in Chinatown, where the crazy gay friend decided to order champagne, and he then proceeded to order noodles and prawn crackers which we touched little of.... Totally wasted the food.... in my opinion, but by then, i was so tired, i couldn't even open my eyes to eat. In the end, we walked to Holborn and then I took a cab home from there. Crazy crazy night out. My first pub crawl, then my first gay-pub experience...

Slept till 2 pm!! Yay Me!!

19th December to 24th December

Germany!!! Finally I made it there after saying for ages I wanna go. It didn't disappoint. Hotel was cheap and good. 45 EUR inc inc for a 4 star hotel. You can't get better than that. And can i juz say that i love Christmas Markets? All the food, and drink, and the strudel, and atmosphere... You CAN'T find a winter atmosphere anything close to this anywhere in London. Singapore doesn't count... cuz Singapore is not cold. And have i mentioned the cocoa and apple strudel?

25th December

Christmas and tai tee!!!!! 4 hours of it, then watched the house of flying daggers, which i have to say is one of the sh**iest show I ever watched? And it is actually critically acclaimed here. WTF??

26th to 27th December

Shopping Heaven!!! 1st off, Mango on Sunday... then Next and Zara on Monday... Retail therapy!!! Probably bought enough to keep me happy for quite a while!!! New Clothes, new trousers, new bags... Only thing that is missing is the new shoe bit... cuz I have not found the "perfect suede brown flat boots" that I have been looking for within my sale budget

31st December

Time for countdown!! Btw, please remember to read the post below as well. Thanks.

I'm back...

A Belated Merry Christmas to everyone... hope everyone is doing well...

Germany was great, especially the world war 2 bits for a WWII History Buff like me, except that the weather is freaking, freaking cold... Other than that, it was good. I even met up with Tina, the shiftleader that went back to Berlin to study. ;)

You guys know how crazy I am about aeroplanes in general... and sometimes about SIA. Well, may i invite you guys to read this. It is a trip report written by someone called Singapore_Air who is absolutely obsessed about SIA... read it for the humour, more than anything, because I have to say, this is one of the funniest thing i've read in my whole life.

The day i was at the library, I decided that it's time I see Singapore from the visitor's viewpoint, so I decided to borrow The Eyewitness's Travel Guide to Singapore.

Being Eyewitness, 3-D graphics and glossy images are aplenty... which is not good, because it juz make me miss Singapore more... but it has been a really good read cuz u find out about things that u didn't think were really important but were actually great tourist attractions and then there are things like a walk through the colonial houses in Singapore. I mean, which Singaporean does that? Probably very few, cuz not many people actually really care, do they? But it can be something really interesting i suppose.

I dunno why, but Chijmes, Fort Canning are considered top 10 attractions in Singapore...

My favourite line in the whole book so far? There are 3 pages dedicated to Singapore food, specifically Chinese, Malay and Indian Cruisine, all accommpanied with images. Those are the most sinful pages in the entire book. This is what they say about Carrot Cake (as in chye dao kueh), "Carrot Cake can also be fried with egg and seasoned with a sweet black sauce". That i think is funny cuz angmohs who read that will think we are crazy, i mean, Angmoh-style carrot cake being fried with egg and sweet sauce? That, i can SO imagine... I wonder what they think when they read that line. Probably better written as "White Savoury Carrot Cake fried with egg and seasoned with a sweet black sauce". Doesn't that sound better?

Wait! Don't change the page! Wait till this page downloads finish before going anywhere else. :)

I decided that sometimes I am one of the worst people when it comes to keeping in touch. I always take my time to return my email, if i even do return them at all. And sometimes I dun want to reply emails to quickly so that i dun look too eager. WTF, man? Is this like playing hard to get or what? How old am I? Sigh,

New Year's Resolution 1: Keep in touch with friends, New and Old.

If you are reading this, and I haven't replied... Bash me in the head please.

Rebecca, Tina, Charlotte! I own you guys email replies!

"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas..." That's the song that's in my head now... Guest Christmas Season has come a-knocking... Juz keep thinking about Christmas now, all we need is juz more Christmas Songs and Decorations to set me on a buying frenzy...
Does anyone know how to post a song on the blog? I wanna play a song on my blog, but dunno how to put that in HTML... sigh. Any help is much appreciated!!
