Went to a huge pasar malam yesterday in Clementi. For some reason, I didn't realise that pasar malam now includes car shows as well. Weird. And other than that, the other 70% of the pasar malam was focused on food. I counted at least 4 different stalls selling the same thing, including muah chee, steamed chick peas and corn, the Taiwanese sausage, fried chicken wings, other forms of fried food like fishcake, chicken nuggets, etc etc, something like an Old Chang Kee. But there are also forays into other kinds of food like Kebabs, the Turkish kind, Indian food like Roti John, peanut pancake.
These are the best selling stores, which is not really that surprising to me. I figured, even when the economy isn't doing well... People can stop shopping, but they never stop eating, which is probably why there are so many food stalls.
The other stall which is selling? The one that is selling stickers. And who are buying those stickers? Working adults and housewives. I dun understand. Go figure.
