Juz returned from Lake District and 5 hours cramped up in a car. Now got butt pain.
Lake District was beautiful, but what i remember most about Lake District is not the lakes, but actually the sheep grazing in the grasslands, plains and priaires!! And it was so cool seeing the mother sheep and lambs... it's juz so, i dunno. You can juz feel the bond between them kind of thing you know... even though we are juz driving past. Didn't have much time though. Only managed to go to Lake Windermere, but then it is so crowded it kind of deflates u a little.
Blackpool is stuck in the 70s or 80s. THat is the first feeling i get when we reach the area, u know like tacky shop signs, wooden food stalls, outdated decor?? Yeah. That's was my first thought when we drove along the coast. Full of cheap beachfront hotels proclaiming cheap rooms, lifts, en-suites. Blackpool was the first seaside resort to be developed in the 70s when people started travelling as they became more affluent. But it seemed to have stuck there. Never developed. But it probably have the highest desity of amusement centres. Probably more than 10 along the whole coastal stretch. Had fun trying to collect little tinkets off the 2p machines... u know the kind that u put 2p and try to recoup it back through falling piles of 2p? Yeah, those kind.
But the trip was too short for such a long distance we have driven. Wished we had more time.
