It feels funny being back. I dunno how come... But the feeling is kind of weird you know? Somehow it feels a little like back to reality... I just felt kind of sad, over the weekend, first taking the train leaving Guildford, and then later taking the taxi to Heathrow... got some funny sadness coming over me, i dunno why.

Expected Time of Departure: 1830, London Time
Actual Time of Departure: 1848, London Time
Runway: 27R
Aircraft Registration: 9V-SPD
Expected Time of Arrival: 1415, Singapore Time
Actual Time of Arrival: 1421, Singapore Time

Overall...
Turbulent is an understatement to say the least. Seemed to have hit all the turbulent spots, practically fastening seatbelts sign every 3-4 hours. Even the FSS who have been in her job for 7.5 years said that this is one of her most turbulent SIN-LHR flight. But then other than that, the flight was pretty empty, with about half the economy class empty. So i moved from my emergency exit seat to the row behind, so that i can put the seat rests up, and have the whole row to myself. Bliss. :)

Food...
I took SQ 3 times in the last 13 months, and I don't freaking believe that in the 3 times, I have had the same selection of main courses. Gordon Ramsay's Chicken Breast in Medeira Sauce or Stir Fried Beef. I just knew there was going to be the stir fried beef. Don't ask me how i know, but i know. Yes, I am scary, the things i know. I took the chicken, which was slightly overcooked, hence a little dry with little sauce and burnt mangetout. Ice Cream was Smarties Soft Ice Cream. Breakfast was the same as previous trips, but much better quality than last time... at least there is taste, fuelled with copious amounts of KrisChilli (SQ "brand" of chilli sauce) and pepper. But breakfast service was rushed, due to the turbulence, which prevented the crew from serving breakfast till one hour before landing. Snacks along the trip include 2 Tuna Mayo and Mixed Pepper Buns and 2 packs of Japanese savoury rice crackers and an apple.

Entertainment...
Started with In Good Company, which i was really looking forward to, but disappointing. Then The Incredibles. Critics panned The Incredibles, but then I actually quite like it. Thought it was really good. Not boring. Then played Super Mario Brothers on Krisworld, and I was at World 3-4, and then the stupid KrisWorld hanged!!! Lost my game!!! Not pleased about that. Then I watched The Wedding Date, based on the book "Waiting for Trouble" by Elizabeth Young. I liked the book, but the movie was not as good. Mindless Entertainment. Added some music into my playlist. Hooberstank's The Reason (no thanks to you, Kor) and Maroon 5's This Love, among others. Then watched a French Movie, Les Choristes... Very very very good movie. The best movie of the lot i watched... One of those really *heart-warming* movies, u know?

Service...
Service was good from the beginning. Was addressed by name, once on boarding, and another time while changing seat. Smiles throughout. Was served by LSS (green uniform) Lorraine, and FSS (blue uniform) Bee Suan. Bee Suan is the FSS who has been in SQ for 7.5 years already. And if u know the promotion and ranking systems in SQ well, u can get promoted to an LSS after at least 5 years of service, so she may have been the most senior FSS. Totally useless fact. You know how some people just take look at it as a job and how some ppl really take pride. ALL the crew that I had contact with today belong to the latter group, from the IFS (purple uniform, or grey jacket), to the CSS (red uniform) to the LSS and the FSSs.

Interesting Things on this Flight...
- On my first trip to the toilets, I found a price tag from Boots for Durex Elite 12-pack. GBP7.66, wonder if someone joined the Mile High Club for this flight. ;)
- I've gotten asked to fill in a Passenger Survey form again. Not that I mind you know, I always do it, but I've decided that there must be something about me or my face that always have cabin crew soliciting for comments from me. I really don't mind. :)

Overall Rating
9/10. One of my best flights, if not for the turbulence, but that cannot be controlled.

Moments of this Semester...
-Rushing through PT report in the first two weeks of semester
-Having Steamboat dinner on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year
-Kor's face on seeing his birthday cake
-Working with an extremely incompetent team mate who i juz hate more and more
-Hearing ONE song on repeat for most of the season
-Seeing Ling pour white wine on Kor's trousers
-Finding out that I finish my exams on the last day of school
-Sleeping outside Shakespeare's House
-Finally going to Lake District
-Going to Thorpe Park to "feng"
-Knowing that people do change, some for the better, some for the worst
-Going to Tesco at 3am in the morning

And my keys are returned, and my bags are packed and I am ready to go. To go back to Singapore!!! Done my online check-in, got seat 31A, which is a bulkhead window seat, the first seat of the Economy section. Got my cab booked for tommorrow to Heathrow, and in 2 days time, i would be back in sunny humid Singapore for my summer holidays.

Been a great great great semester. If I were to use ONLY one word to sum up this semester, the word would be crazy.

Crazy Term with crazy amounts of coursework
Crazy Flatmates who drink and drink and drink
Going Crazy with my SingSoc buddies in Thorpe Park, and Tesco, and Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon, Wagamama, Nando's, London, CnR, Bar Ciao
Crazy all-nighters in BB/Library/AC studying and having loads of coffee, and quite a bit of snacks
Crazy cook out sessions in the kitchens, doing Hokkien mee, steamboat, pancakes, gulitnous(sp?) rice balls "tang yuan", Tom Yam Soup, Sushi, Japanese Pancakes, curry, with loads of pepper possible in each dish, and using the remainder of the pancakes for "pannis"!
Crazy craving for sweetcorn the most of the semester, averaging 1 can per week, which is weird, cuz i dun usually eat sweetcorn last time, not like my love with bananas

To my crazy SingSoc buddies who made this happen, Kor, Jon and Ling.

Nice nice nice nice weather!! You know the kind where it is sunny, the air is cool, but not cold? Yeah, that kind of weather. Got out in my Zara skirt and without a windbreaker!!!!!

Hope this weather sustains for the next 6 days, and then i would be on my flight back home to sunny Singapore!!!!

Got my accommodation allocated for next year. Faces the warden's house. Who also happens to be my tutor. Went to take a look at it. Hmm... Double glazed windows, *think* there is no tree blocking my light, North-South facing.

In fact, it is just 1 minute from where i live now.

The weather is finally clearing out!!!! But why only now just when i would be going home in a week??

Monday 9C to 16C
Tuesday 12C to 15C
Wednesday 11C to 19C
Thursday 11C to 19C
Friday 14C to 24C

But then maybe guess you could say it came at the right time, just when my exams are ending. :)

Hello...

Been doing reading on Customer Relationship Management and Managing Customers and i dunno why i didn't think of it before, but the more i think about it the more i realise why it is important that one should never piss off their service providers...

This is why...
"A United Airlines passenger was shocked when a ticketing agent told him, "Wow, somebody doesn't like you." Apparently the passenger was involved in an argument with another United employee several months earlier. The argument became part of the passengers' permanent record, which follows him wherever he flies with United. The passenger, who is a Premier Executive accountholder, feels that the airline has been less than accommodating following the incident."

The truth is, in hotels and in airlines, more and more companies are making use of guest profiles to record guest histories. It has always been a norm in hotels, and more and more airlines are starting to do it.

Reading that really makes me think what kind of record SIA have of me. I was never a troublesome passenger, just that I tend to like comment forms a lot. Probably has written 3 or 4 out of my last 6 flights i think. One comment form was solicited by the steward (who, i may add, also happen to be very good looking ;) . He came up and asked if i minded leaving my comments, and the other few i asked for the forms. Everytime i asked, I always get one and a "is everything all right with your flight, Ms Goh" response, EXCEPT one, when the LS juz stunned and didn't do anything. If it is the same with hotels, i *have* a feeling that my comments are being recorded with my passenger profile, especially since i always leave my Krisflyer number.

I'd like to think that i am quite a nice passenger. Only sad thing is such things hardly get recorded, unlike in hotels. When there is a very nice guest who respects the service providers and treat them with respect, I always put in their guest history that they are nice guests, and to treat them well... but i wonder if you can actually do that with airline passenger profiles. I hope so... like to earn some brownie points for being a nice passenger who say her "Thank You" and her "Please"... :)

And if you do happen to piss off some service providers, this is probably where you or your name might end up...

Been quite a while, by my standards....

Yesterday...
1. Got my overall professional training results. Juz wanna say am quite pleased with it. :)
2. Had Employers' Function at Lakeside yesterday, which is the event whereby we invite our PT employers to a night at the restaurant, thanking them for their support for us and the programme.
3. The food was good, main course was Vegetable Risotto or Chicken Chow Mein, both of which i have tried before during the CHME conference. Canapes of 3Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato Wrap, Prawn and Avocado Wrap, Vegetable Samosas, Pork and Chicken Mini Kebabs, Banana Cake (an oddity in the menu, i thought), and mini pastry bites.
4. Dessets were the best. Mini fruit tarts, cream puffs and caramel ecclairs. Followed by a spread of summer pudding and strawberries with cream, cheese and crackers. Very good quality cheese, i am sure, including some French Brie, Blue Stilton and something else which i do not quite recognise, but looks very good.
5. Talked to different ppl, enjoyed myself. :)
6. The official end of the Professional Training Year, i guess...

Today...
1. Finally handed up my individual OA assignment. Time to stop looking at it and concentrate on my exams
2. Going to pay library fine on Monday, cuz did not return book today
3. Had a 5-min SingSoc AGM. Very Concise, to say the least, with some swearing in between. ;)
4. Went to town for Kebab dinner. Why dun they sell kebab in singapore like they do here?
5. Had Haagen Dazs mango sorbert for dessert. Green Tea Ice Cream - I miss u.
6. Jonathan is flying back tomorrow. Yue Soo is flying back at 12 noon on the 27th. My paper starts at 1330 on the 27th.

Good night. and have a good sleep. *Yawnz*

Good morning. and have a good day.

Fast Food that i Like

(1) Mos Burger's Ebi Rice Burger
(2) Mos Burger's Chicken Teryaki Burger
(3) Mos Burger's Corn Soup
(4) Yoshinoya's Salmon Bowl
(5) Yoshinoya's Chicken Bowl
(6) Burger King's Mushroom Swiss Double
(7) Burger King's new Baguettes
(8) McDonald's Egg McMuffin
(9) McDonald's Big Breakfast

I dunno why i suddenly thought of it, but i feel like eating Yoshinoya's salmon bowl or chicken bowl... They do fantastic Japanese rice and it is quite possibly, the healthiest form of fast food in Singapore. Love the vegetables they do too, btw.

Argh, i wanna eat broccoli and carrot, cooked Yoshinoya style, now.

Yes, my thinking is quite weird, which is a massive understatement.

I went onto eBay and bid on THIS. It was kind of an impulse bid cuz my friends were telling me to and because i wasn't sure if i really wanted it, but then it was selling at £64.97 on Amazon, so really, it's probably too good a deal to miss yeah?? and I bid 2 min before the auction ended and I won it.

Think it would be quite cool. Maybe you can even do a hot wok or steamboat with it!!! Wow!

Heh juz realised that it's the buy-present-before-going-back-to-Singapore time. Might be spending more than usual. NOT GOOD. I am going to NOT bring my credit cards out.

I can't believe although i am a plane freak, the transport vehicle that i find more difficult to draw is the aeroplane!

Singapore Airlines have got new planes!!! New 777-312, the really long ones!

And Liverpool has reached the final of the UEFA Champions League!!! By beating the they-think-they-can-buy-their-way-to-success Chelsea, Liverpool has broken Chelsea's treble dream!!

Well done Liverpool, and Congratulations.

And to add, there was no cheering at all next door, signs of a bad game for Chelsea!

I dunno the score of the liverpool vs chelsea match, but i think liverpool is leading 1-0 cuz i heard a lot of swearing at the beginning, and i know that the people next door are either chelsea supporters or ppl who have bet on chelsea to win. And they are way too quiet.

Liverpool is having a good night, me thinks.

We'll see how it goes...
