Photos from Christmas Day... Simply too many to put up (100? 200? possibly 300?), so here's a selection of my favourites...

Tuesday, December 27, 2005

Thanks to my dearest Surrey friends for making my first, and my last Christmas spent in Surrey a good one (my previous three Christmases was spent in London)... We started our celebrations on Christmas eve, by marinating the Roast Chicken with Lemon, Paprika, Herbs, Salt and Pepper, and I was treated to a chicken dance by Jon, together with the chicken resusitation act, and the XXX act.... funny!! Dinner was Wanton soup made by yours truely!!! Something to remind us of home, turned out quite well, I suppose...

Christmas Day itself, we dumped the chicken in the oven, and opened our Christmas presents! Received a mini coffee maker from Jon, a MnS toiletry bag with royal jelly and honey body wash and moisturiser from Janet, a Pooh Bear and Piglet pillow from WanFang, and a Hot Chocolate Glass from Terrence... Thanks people!

Then we feasted, and I do mean feasted... had our roast chicken with potatoes, brussel sprouts, parsnips, carrots with mash and barbecue sauce, creamy leek sauce and gravy... and then dessert was New York Cheesecake and fruit medley consisting of watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, erm, yeah. All these washed down with champagne, Barcadi Breezer Watermelon and Heineken... Yes, a lot of food and a lot of alcohol... good fun though... loads of fun, loads of laughter, loads of jokes, loads of madness, friends, fun, alcohol and good food, what more could you ask for?? :)

And so after a long night that was yesterday, today was a totally lazing around day... to recuperate from the madness that was the past few nights I suppose.... woke up juz when the sun was about to set, and caught up on news with friends back home... then baked some cookies.... nice to have a slow lazy day after a bit of madness...

BUT am going to go out in about 4 hours' time to go to town for the Next sale which is starting at 5am!!! Yes, you heard me right, I am going to go for a sale at 5am... should really take a nap first... but i still need to shower etc etc... maybe i won't sleep after all... we'll see how it goes...

Juz put up some photos below of Dublin (below my Christmas post)... more to come soon!!! And more videos of Dublin and Christmas to come!!!! Watch this space!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Came back from Dublin on Thursday night... We were supposed to fly BMI into Heathrow but they were overbooked on the flight so we were offered to fly into Gatwick on BA instead... which is just as well for us, because we can take the train back home from Gatwick, as opposed to taking a cab... and on top of that, there is free food on board BA, as compared to BMI, and there is also compensation from BMI, and the compensation actually comes up to more than double of what I paid for the air ticket!!!!! Not a bad deal...

Been also doing a lot of thinking the past few days... Need to sort out some things that are going on in my life... get my act together... stop being so scatter-brained..

Do u know I have a false alarm with my things four times during the trip... I hate it when I am like that... and do u know that I left my keys in the kitchen and locked myself out yesterday... so blur right?? Dunno what's wrong with me also...

Dublin photos to come soon...!~!~!~!~

Dublin trip is a good one and relaxing... we pretty much relaxed and pampered ourselves with good food, slow walks, some shopping and sinful desserts the entire holiday...

The riverside buildings of Dublin...
Ha'penny Bridge... Major pedestrian bridge across the River Liffey
Royal College of Surgeons... Notice the bullet marks on the walls... This is the last building to fall during the 1916 Irish uprising
Young mother enjoying a book in St. Stephen's Green with the baby asleep in the cot
Beautiful weather...

This is one of the few places that I have been to in Europe with things still open beyond 11pm that is not a kebab store... can't say how much I appreciated that.... I quite like Dublin... Hmm... in fact come to think about it, I quite like most of the places I've been to, maybe except Paris (because Parisians are snobs and they let their dogs poo all over the streets). Wouldn't mind living here some day...

Dinner at Jo Shmo's - had swordfish which was fishy and dry. Lousy food, so complained... at hen took off the swordfish from the bill... which we then used the savings for drinks...

Just some snippets and thoughts written while surfing the net...

Gotten this off Hwei Shan's blog, who got it off Tomorrow.sg, but WAY too funny...

Funny Exam Answers

Our SEA Games Medal Tally if we have the population of Indonesia

Creativity linked to sexual success - this one is kind of interesting... sexual success in this case, does not refer to the number of times you have sex, but the number of sexual partners you have... in other words, you should sleep around to be as creative as possible?? Doesn't make sense... Is there anything as too many sexual partners then??? I guess when you have too many, there is a term otherwise known as STD...

David Tao had a concert in Singapore?! Why can't he do his concert in June, July or August??? Why must he do it now???? Not fair!!!

Had a good meeting with Yuksel today... went through the chapter draft i handed in to him, went through the next chapter, talk about the overall project... happy... :) Good and productive meeting!!!!

Going to town in a while... Going to have kebab!!!

After this, have to pia/mug/cramp like crazy!!! Exams in less than 6 days!!! Must start bucking up! Must start working harder and more productively!!!

Wish me luck!!!
