AMSTERDAM I have to say first. I did not take any drugs in Amsterdam. Nothing. Zero. Nada. :) Amsterdam is not as seedy as it sounds, it was really an eye-opener though, especially to walk along the red light district just when the sky was getting dark. In fact, as early as 5pm, u can start seeing workers parading their wares in the windows. We overheard a conversation that goes something like this

Worker: Hi, darling... (to randon business suit-clad stranger), how bout some fun tonight.
Man: No, I can't. I'm tired from work. Worker:
You don't have to do anything...

Hahah, no idea about that outcomes of that conversation though. :) Besides the sex and drugs, I actually really like walking along the canals of Amsterdam. In fact, I think I like Amsterdam more than Venice. It just seems much more romantic somehow. Dunno why.

Accomplished a lot during this trip. Went to Keukenhof Gardens, which is one of my main purposes of coming to Amsterdam, because of the annual flower show. Imagine rows after rows after rows of tulips. I was smitten! And very much in Love with tulips! About half my photos are of flowers!! Also went to an excursion to the outskirts, to the cheese farm and the wooden clog farm, and to the Delft Blue pottery factory, and to The Hague, and Madurodam (also known as Little Netherlands!) Loads done!! Had loads of fun too!! Especially with my 2 travel buddies, Etty and Felicity! :) Thanks for the wacking, and sillyness (and cantonese) throughout this trip.

More pictures to follow in the post before (below) this one. Look at the 2nd picture in the 2nd row in particular. Click on it to enlarge. :)

Row by row, left to right:
1 - See the many colours of the various flower fields?
2 - Walk along the many canals in Amsterdam
3 - Canal House in Amsterdam (warning: VERY VERY steep stairs)
4 - The Entrance of Anne Frank's House
5 - Interesting Sight, Click to enlarge
6 - Keukenhof Gardens
7 - 9 - Various tulips in Keukenhof (and me!)
10 -Dutch Wooden Clogs
11 - Windmills
12 - Whole wall full of Gouda Cheese (very very nice!)

BORED. I really want to do something else besides sitting in front of the computer all day... Or maybe go and do more travelling, but travelling for 3 weeks non-stop is a bit mad, and can get tiring which is why i am back home "recuperating". But then recuuperating often means sitting in front on the computer catching up on emails and indulging in my new found hobbies. However, I really want to do something else besides sitting in front of the computer all day... I know he reads this blog sometimes (though I might get scolded for writing this) - so just so u know, I'm v. v. v. v. happy for u. Really. From the bottom of my heart! :)

Hmm... I don't think I sound coherent, but yeah. :)

Ich lieber Munchen.

Translation: I love Munich

Munich just made me feel so at ease, like you know, I can see myself living there, that kind of feeling, even though I was alone, and I was not that fluent in the language. It's so full of history, both old and new. 4 days 3 nights was not enough for me to enjoy them all, be it the Dachau concentration camp, or the art museum. Perhaps I was meant to feel at home in Munich, after all, I got asked for directions 3 times! All in Deutsch too. Aber meine Deutsch ist nicht good, I kann eine bissen Deutsch sprechen.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently! I am still alive. Just chilling, and enjoying myself. Will post when I am feeling more awake.

Some random thoughts -

My favourite approach into an airport: The London Heathrow Approach over the Thames. Spotted Millennium Dome. Aldwych, Green Park, St. James Park, Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, the hotel I used to work in, Natural History Museum, Knightsbridge, Wilton Crescent, Eaton Square, Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, blah blah blah. I *heart* this approach. (Tip: If u wanna enjoy this approach, my guess is to take flights that arrive before 3pm. Your chances are higher!)

My favourite road: The one parallel to the Heathrow runway. Actually, most of the routes around LHR is nice! Because I can see planes! But then again, any road that allows me to see loads of planes would be good i suppose! Now if I only remembered to charge the battery yesterday, then I would have pictures to show too! Oh well. :)
